The Arrowhead Photography Book
Making large format photographs requires care and precision--with film costing upwards of $5 a sheet, each frame has to count. For such carefully conceived images, the book layout and text had one job: to let evocative images of northeastern Minnesota shine. I worked with the photographer to develop a clean, simple layout that didn't interfere with the photographs.
My job: Design, lay out to Blurb specs for print on demand, edit photos and content.
Challenges: Letting the photographs speak for themselves.
Perks: Using InDesign for its intended purpose, and developing a true appreciation for master pages, and paragraph and character styles.
