North House Folk School Member Brochures
As a non-profit, North House appealed to its student and member base for funds twice yearly in membership campaigns. Member support was important to keep the school afloat, and donations from $10 to $10,000 came in each year. Membership materials had to convey a sense of place and the wonder of craft without feeling too commercial--and they had to be distinctive from one campaign to the next.
My job: Design and layout, edit photos and copy, send to print. I produced 12 versions from 2010 to 2016.
Challenges: Translating the development manager's campaign messages into print without looking just like the previous version.
Perks: Sharing the colorful photos and stories of instructors and students that spurred generous donations.
