Boise State Public Radio
Boise State Public Radio’s marketing materials needed to reflect quality programming and broadcast the station’s Idaho roots, all while remaining in compliance with Boise State brand standards. Basically, develop a new look—and the possibilities were as wide open as Idaho’s wilderness.
My job: I found illustrations the station had on file (from a membership gift handkerchief design), worked with the artist to create more Idaho-centric illustrations, and used them as the centerpiece for bookmarks, membership ads, e-newsletter assets, their website header, and print ads.
Challenges: Coming up with a look that subtly included Boise State’s blue and orange without screaming “school spirit.”
Perks: Nerding out over the opportunity (because, public radio!), getting a station tour, and working with the lovely folks at BSPR to hone in on a fitting style.
