Bike Tour Scholarship Application

No, I didn’t win. But, planning and proposing an epic bicycle tour route through Alaska was inspiring. Lael Rides Alaska Woman’s Scholarship provides an incredible opportunity for funding an Alaska bike tour, and with one bike tour under my belt, I seized the opportunity to dream up a new adventure in my birth state. Unfortunately (for me) I didn’t win, but perhaps someday I’ll tackle the roads I outlined in my proposal on two wheels. Read my application here (PDF).

My job: Devise a bike touring route in Alaska and explain why I’d like to complete it.

Challenges: Getting excited about a bike trip that I couldn’t complete without the scholarship’s support.

Perks: Getting excited about a bike trip that maybe someday I’ll have the resources and time to complete on my own.
